Court Fees Increase

Court fees have increased from 30th September 2021. We have to say we had very little notice from the Court service.

You can view the court fees online under document EX50, but as far as the family department is concerned the divorce petition fee has now increased to £593 from £550. Financial application fees from £255 to £275 and family application fees from £215 to £232.

There is potential for exemption from the court fees and any potential clients need to consider and complete form EX160 if they think an exemption may apply. As you will note this can be a significant saving.
