Divorce Law Change

At last the Government have agreed that it is more appropriate to have a no fault based divorce system. Whilst opponents to change the law suggested that this will open the door for quick divorces, that is not necessarily the case.

In any event, the law is confusing and messy. Certainly it is difficult to anticipate a cost order the Court will make on a divorce for a petitioner under the current regime.
