Legal Services Order

In respect of divorce and funding financial disputes on matrimonial breakdowns, there is a little used tool which is known as the Legal Services Order, which requires one party to pay the legal fees of the other party to assist them in pursuing their financial claim on divorce.

Mr Evans in our family department uses such an application rarely but it is something that should be borne in mind as to assisting one party who is financially in difficulties when they are pursuing a capital settlement on divorce.
