The new procedure and law for quickie divorces came in on the 6th April 2022 with a prequel transitional period of five days.

Whilst the general public will think that quickie divorces mean quick in time in fact that is very much not the case. Under the new regime on a non-fault base divorce it will take six months for the divorce to go through to decree nisi and thereafter decree absolute. So quick it is not. It is much more straightforward in processing the divorce petition without reciting allegations of behaviour and wanton adultery!

We can process your application for a divorce through the portal. The Court fee is £593 if you are not fee exempt and our costs are £500 plus VAT on a fixed basis, payments by instalment during the course of the divorce process.
