Conveyancing market

Current figures suggest that the residential conveyancing market has plateaued and might even have come down slightly. We are still seeing significant new instructions at Almy & Thomas on sale and purchases, possibly because our fees are very competitive and partly because the financial market is attractive for purchasers.
Mortgage rates are likely to come down again in the new year and even if you are selling your house for a marginally less attractive price, you are also buying a property that suffers the same problem. Sometimes consumers fail to understand that potential for taking live steps to improve your property portfolio.
In any event, in South Devon we see the market as being extremely buoyant, although in some areas some transactions are taking longer to finalise.
