Family Mediation

Parents now need to know that it is compulsory to undertake some form of family mediation before they proceed to issue an application into the Family Court for a child arrangements order. There is a scheme to fund eligible parties for the mediation but if parents do not qualify under the means test then a parent needs to pay.

On the positive side, mediation can often settle disputes regarding children which should not proceed down the Court route
