Solicitors offering free interviews for Clients

At Almy & Thomas we have noticed from new clients we have seen face to face for our free 30-minute interviews that some of them have spoken to other solicitors over the telephone. At Almy & Thomas our view is that to establish a professional relationship with a new client there needs to be initially a face to face meeting, and indeed it is our experience that many issues are better dealt with in interview and can be glossed over in a telephone conference. That is the feedback we are getting from new clients who have spoken to other firms over the telephone for timed appointments, which vary from 10 minutes to 30 minutes. 10 minutes is an inadequate period of time to have a dialogue and provide a professional opinion to a potential new client.
